Alvin Lee Mack was born on July 18, 1966 in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Mr. Walter Mack Sr. and Mrs.Helen E. Archer-Mack. Alvin was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, he graduated from Frankford High School in 1984. Alvin then furthered his education at Widener University and achieved his Degree in Business Management. Alvin went on to open and operate “New Beginnings” which catered to cognitively and disabled individuals. His passion for caring for others and bettering lives was where he devoted majority of his time. Later Alvin worked for “Best Works Industires” for the visually impaired for almost 20 years making military uniform for service members.
Alvin was a beautiful, spiritual, loving and a caring soul, full of life and funny as ever. If you had the pleasure of knowing him he would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved his family bbq’s, and cooking and was well known for his seafood salad and love for crabs. One of his favorite lines when you were in trouble is “you can't save your face and you tail too one has to go”. Alvin impacted many lives in ways that are immeasurable, he lived unapologetically free, we all know your vogueing in heaven.
Alvin was preceded in death by his father Walter Mack Sr, two older brothers , Walter Mack Jr and Andre A. Mack, and his dog (son) Thor whom he adored.
Alvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Mrs. Helen E. Mack, three sisters Michelle Mack-Livingston, Patricia Mack, Annette Mack, God-sister Stephanie Parker, one brother in law Jerome Livingston, his life long Partner Amont Wroten, a host of nieces/nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins and tons of friends who all loved him immensely.
