Donald Hines Obituary

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS,

REMEMBERING DONALD

Donald Ervin Hines, (affectionately known as “Pie”) was born on November 20, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Dorothy Peten Hines and Leroy Hines. Donald accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. He resided in Maryland where he enjoyed attending church service and participating in faith-based initiatives that held a focus of supporting the homeless.

Donald received his education through the Philadelphia public school system. He was a huge Philly Eagles fan and held many hidden talents. Growing up he loved cutting hair and found a passion for tailoring clothes and cooking. Donald enjoyed singing to the Whispers even though he knew he couldn’t hold a note.  Donald also loved the ladies, life, laughter, but most of all, his beloved family.  No matter the occasion, you can expect Donald to light up the room with his shenanigans and antics, never it being a dull moment when in his presence as he would surely leave you with some unforgettable memories.

On September 9, 2021, Donald departed this life after an extended illness at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia. Three brothers, Reggie, Dwight and Darryl Hines and one brother-in law Dennis Peterson precedes him in death.  He leaves to cherish his memories three children, daughter (Chassidy Price), sons (Aaron Anderson and Tyriek Lyles), one son in-law (Shaquille Anderson), two brothers (Leroy Hines, Jr and Kerry Hines), three sisters (Shirley Parker, Marion Graham and Celesteral Peterson), one brother in-law (Jerome Parker) and one sister in-law (Adrianna Hines), four grand-daughters ( Isis Lewis, Asani Pharrell, Tiyonna Lyles, and Tykera Williams), one grand-son (Kysier Lewis), a favorite niece and nephew (Monique and Dennis Peterson, Jr) one bonus niece (Patreece Buctchee’) one special cousin (Linda Fountain), and hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
