Elmer Holloway, Jr. was born on March 20th, 1957, in Camden, New Jersey to Saundra Holloway and the late Elmer Holloway, Sr. Elmer was the second oldest of nine children. Elmer Jr. began his education in the Public School system of Paulsboro, NJ. The family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he graduated from Overbrook high School. He continued his education at Christian Theological School. Elmer earned his bachelor’s degree from Phoenix University in Science of Human Services.
Elmer’s love for the church began at an early age at the Highway Church of Christ under the late Bishop Andrew Ford, Sr., serving in various ministries. He later joined Nahum Pentecostal Church of Apostolic Faith where he was ordained as an elder under Pastor King. His favorite Bible verse was Acts 2:38.
Elmer enjoyed traveling, shopping, eating, roller skating, and spending time with family. Elmer was a hard-working man.
Elmer is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Sr.; brother, Rodney, and niece, Regina.
Elmer leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Saundra; siblings, William, Sandra, Jacqueline, Rosemary, Troy, Mark, and Marvin; one aunt, Darlene; a very special friend, Pastor Clyde King; nieces, Sherita, Amie, Shante, and Shanta; nephews, Shawn, Stephen, and Quatell; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
For the lives you touched, and the life you lived, you will always be missed!
