George Smith, Jr. Obituary

Lil Georgie’s Life Story

George Smith Jr. was born on September 27, 1995 to Terri and George Smith Sr.in Phila, PA.

Georgie is a Dad, Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew Cousin and undoubtably a friend. On April 21, 2023. George life was unexpectedly and selfishly ended on the corner of 17th and Cumberland. I day those who love him will never forget.

Georgie traveled on to Join his Big Brother George Smith, Grandmothers Patricia whom he loved dearly and never really accepted her death and Selma Smith, whom also had an unforgettable place in his heart. Grandfather George, Aunts Lauren and Alisa; Uncles Rickey and Stevie and Great Uncle Bill

Georgie completed his education in the Philadelphia Public School System. When prompted to work Georgie held Odd Jobs. He was a lover of the street; G-World was well known his stomping grounds  Gratz & Dalphine, Gratz & Susquehana, and  17th & Cumberland.

Nothing or no one could take those streets from him.  His home away from home. You can take the man out the Street but you can’t take the Street out the man. When Georgie wasn’t in his hoods he relaxed at home playing video games and spending time with his mom, dad and little brother. Getting on every ones nerve, of course. He was a young man of few words but he meant what he said” I STANDS ON IT” was his slogan trust and believe he meant every word of it.

Georgie meant his first love (Yummy)on those streets and born a beautiful baby boy A’sah; whom he love with all his heart.  He was a proud dad.

Georgie was ride or die to all whom he believed was his friend. Georgie was direct and straight to the point. He had no problem expressing his true feelings. Unless you were his elder, most time.   He would argue with you one day and the next day it was all good; he never took anything to heart.

Georgie had a rare and special relationship with each and everyone of his family members. He never hesitated saying these three word I Love You. George loved his family dearly he was the family enforcer. He was everyone protector rather you wanted protection on not he was always there. He had your back.

No matter what circumstance or challenges came his way he never let it get him down. He was a true moma’s boy at home and everyone who knew little Georgie as his mom called him knew she was his ride or die. He was truly a moma’s and daddy’s boy. He knew how to play them both to get his way.

Georgie leaves to cherish his fond memories His son A’sah George Smith, Parents George and Terri Smith; one brother Joshua Smith, Grandfather Stanley and step grandma Ms. Lee; Aunts- Duchess, Angel, Shanka, Marlene and Sissy. Uncles Anthony (Ebony) and Gary; Great Aunts Sandra, Ronnie; Great Uncle Tony (Pat); Stori whom had a special place in his heart; God Parents Tony and Jackie and a host of Cousins and friends.
