Obituary

Jahnene Hasty-Daughtry was the second  born child of the late Newton Daniels and Elvira Kay BeeneI in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Jahnene was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system and was a graduate of Williams Penn High School. She furthered her education and skills while attending a trade school that specialized in Iron Work. She completed her trade and worked in the Iron Industry for several years.

In 2007, Jahnene was joined in Holy matrimony to her long time friend, Dwayne Daughtry. Their family increased.

In 2001, Jahnene proudly served at Ground Zero, assisting in the clean up process. In 2003, her passion for life lead her to the naval base in Philadelphia where she assisted in building vessels.   In later years, she was gainfully employed at Metro One where she worked as a security officer. Stated by her eldest daughter, Tambora, “Our mother was the hardest working woman we knew.”

Jahnene accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and never let go of His hand. In 2008, Jahnene(Sis. Hasty), as she was lovingly called, joined the ministry of Dunamis Temple of Deliverance Inc, under the leadership of Overseer L.A.Williams where she remained a faithful member until her transition to Glory.

She will be missed for her laughter and sense of humor. Her meals were second to none. She enjoyed her family and spending quality time. One thing is certain she loved Jesus! She was a champion of faith. Through the worst of her illness she believed God! Her legacy will be, she was a woman of great faith.
