Kaiki Smith

Kaki M. “Kai” Stewart, of Lancaster, born October 9, 1997, the son of Victoria Gillespie-Smith and George R. Smith, passed away surrounded by family on April 19, 2023. He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather Charles F. Stewart, maternal great grandmother Maryjane (Gordon) Stewart, fraternal great grandfather Robert. P. Williams, and fraternal great grandmother Charlotte A. Stewart.

 Kai was an avid fan of Kobe Bryant, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also enjoyed fashion and listening to and performing music.

Kai had a strong love for his family and loved spending time with his cousins. He loved having conversations that ended with deep belly laughs, had a contagious smile and you would rarely see a frown on his face. He embraced everyone with a welcoming spirit. Everyone enjoyed being around him because of his comforting soul.

In addition to his parents, Kai is survived by his sister Emony Smith, nephew Na’Ledge Smith, 2 Aunts: Geneva Gillespie, Zabrina “Ollie” Stewart, 3 uncles: Vincent “Derek” Smith, Emilio Stewart, Robert Smith and a host of cousins and friends.

Home Going services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at One City Church, 935 E. Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received at the church for a viewing from 9AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
