Khyree Kenneth Mitchell

A LIFE REMEMBERED/LIFE STORY 

Khyree Kenneth Mitchell also known as “Khy”

the son of Kenneth and Evette Mitchell was born March 13th, 2001. He came into the world prematurely at 29 weeks, beating all odds making it home one month before his due date. He was the youngest of three sisters.  

As a young child Khy found great joy in playing baseball, basketball, and football. He threw 15 touchdowns in a 12-game season at the age of 8 with the Dynasty Dragons under coach Danny’s leadership. At age 14 Khy was the number 1 pitcher for the Taney Dragons 16 and under league he also won a championship with the Mustangs the same year. Khyree won several trophies, was heavily recruited and earned a scholarship to attend Cardinal O’Hara High School where he graduated in 2019. 

As a young man Khy enjoyed time with his friends, playing the game and being the “bid” of the party like his dad. Khyree started employment at Waverly and later the Philadelphia Airport. 

On Friday June 23rd, 2023, God called our beloved son, brother, and uncle to eternal rest. Our biggest fan we will miss you immensely. Your support, encouragement and words of affirmation has left an everlasting appreciation on us- Thank you Khy. You could always count on Khy saying “You look nice” “Hey sexy” “You’re beautiful”

Khyree was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Mitchell and cousin Nafis Burns.

Khyree leaves to mourn his great grandmother Ernestine Edmonds, grandfather George Mitchell, grandmother Cynthia Davis, mother and father Kenneth and Evette Mitchell, sisters Chardae, Lexus and Kenniya, nephews Voo and Carter, niece Ryann, bestfriend Lij, a very special cousin Kev, his favorite Uncle D, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
