Leslie Robinson

Leslie Robinson entered this world on January 6, 1958, in North Philadelphia and was unexpectedly called home on January 8,2025. Leslie was the beloved wife of James Hayes, Leslie’s long and devoted marriage to James was truly beautiful and speaks to the depth of her love, commitment, and partnership. Forty-three years together—nearly four decades of marriage—are an extraordinary testament to the strength of their bond. Leslie and James shared a life rich with experiences, challenges, and triumphs. That kind of enduring love is rare and inspiring, their connection was the foundation of much of her joy and purpose.

Leslie was a mother of three loving sons. She leaves behind her three children, Mark, Hussain, and Charles aka Dee Brown as well as six grandchildren Marquita, A’deja,Amir,Simir,Tymir, and Amira as well as one great grand Wynter, her sister Carl Gass and brother Edward Gass. Along with a host of nieces nephew cousins family and friends.

Leslie was educated in the Philadelphia School system before starting her career at the City of Philadelphia Housing Authority as a laborer ultimately retiring after 10 years on the job. Throughout her life Leslie accomplished many achievements and made a positive impact on those around her. Leslie’s life was filled with purpose, and the achievements she made are clearly a testament to her strength, drive, and character. It’s evident that she didn’t just live her life, but made it count in meaningful ways for her family, friends, and even her community. Her ability to positively influence those around her is something that will continue to resonate with them, even in her absence.

Leslie was stern because she said she had boys to raise that would eventually become men. She was a loving and caring mother that loved her sons dearly 

Leslie had a passion for shopping for high-end items such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada, as well as enjoying shopping sprees at local high-end malls. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Leslie's untimely passing has deeply saddened all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed but always remembered for being outspoken and outstanding. Leslie was a remarkable person—someone whose presence and voice made a real impact. While her absence leaves a gap, it’s clear that her legacy will live on through the memories of those who knew and loved her.

Leslie was rejoiced with her mother Inez and her father Ursal Robinson and the way they rejoiced together speaks to the depth of their connection and the strong family foundation she had.
