Linda Wright was born to Annabelle Jones and Leopold Thompson on January 22,1947. She received her education from the Philadelphia school system and graduated from old girls high. After graduation she went to nursing school and received her degree in nursing. For a time she worked at Greenleaf nursing home. She also worked at tucker house nursing home for many years.
Linda shared her first child Belinda Blue with Luther Blue Sr. Following their marriage on April 13, 1963. They resided at Lenny Blues home for a short time. They got their first home in Richard Allen projects. They ware married for fifty nine year’s and shared three other children Luther Blue Jr. John Blue and Yolanda Blue.
Linda Blue joined the United house of prayer for all people. She gained a strong connection with God and made sure her children also had that connection because of how leader sweet daddy Grace spoke of him. She became a house maid for Daddy Grace in Petersburg Virginia. She joined the junior female ushers and for many years participated in all that the house of prayer had to offer.
She joined McCullough’s marching bugle corp. Where she carried a flag beside her best friend Bernice Parker and Denise Goode. No matter what life had in store, her faith in God grew stronger which made her start her own organization called P.A.C.O. Linda kicked in doors making sure families got a home and stayed together, aside from helping unfortunate people get housing she also made sure children had toys for Christmas. She made sure she taught her children to never turn their backs on anyone In need because you don’t know what a person might be going through. She never turned away anyone who was hungry. Through a life of service and activism Linda Blue was able to make a huge impact on her community. Linda received the holy ghost during the hurricane revival.
Linda Blue leaves to mourn her four children Belinda Blue-Parker Luther Blue jr, John Blue and Yolanda Blue. Her husband of fifty nine year’s Luther Blue Sr. Son in law Dwight Parker Sr. Her sisters Shirley Wright, Charlotte Campfield, and Marcella Thompson. Brothers Emmitt Wright, William Wright, Charles Wright, Raymond Thompson, and Bernard Thompson. Her grandchildren Wayne Beckwith, Todd Beckwith, Dwight Parker Jr. And Isaiah Parker Samuel Dixon, Haneef White, John Blue jr. And Laquil Moore. Her dear friends Denise Goode and Bernice Parker, Vanessa Barnes. She has a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren family and friends that we didn’t get to acknowledge.
