Lucille D. Wallace

Lucille Diane Wallace (known to most as Diane), was born to William Bivins and Lillian Redmond on September 28, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA.

Diane was one of nine children. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, William, Michael, Kevin, Marsha, and her granddaughter Brianna.

Diane was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System after which she went to trade school to study office administration.  In 1974, Diane married Marvin Wallace. From this union they had two children, Tamara (Danielle) and Shaun.  Diane worked in Administration for The City of Philadelphia for twenty plus years until retirement in 2014.  In 2000, Diane was blessed with two more sons, Devon and Jovan, while living in Philadelphia.  She became a member of Bethany Baptist Church for a number of years.  One of Diane’s favorite pastimes was to go shopping at the thrift stores with her special friend.  Barbara Whitfield.  She served as Block Captain on Trinity Street for a number of years, while living in Philadelphia.  She was very passionate about her job, helping to organize street cleaning and block parties.  Diane also loved to crochet and sew.

After moving to Georgia with her daughter, she joined a senior group, The Knit Wits, where the crocheted every Monday mornings.  In recent years, she loved to go out to dinner and go shopping with her daughter Tammie.  Her children were the highlight of her life, and she did her best to care for each one of them until her passing.

Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Tamara, Her sons Devon and Jovan, grandchildren Shaun Jr., Marquan, Kailey, Aaron and Rowyn, two brothers Bruce Bivins and Russell Bivins; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousin , friends and bonus daughters, Beth and Portia.
