Michael Sheppard

  On March 2nd, 2024, surrounded by family, Michael, fondly known as "Stoney "was called home to be with the Lord. He was born to his loving mother the late Mabel Cook on January 6, 1959. He was educated through the School District of Philadelphia and went on to doing odd jobs, which included his favorite, being a Bouncer at the Upper Deck in Germantown. Stoney was well liked around his neighborhood; he was outgoing, very funny, and family oriented.  Entertaining his many nieces and nephews was a regular occurrence.  One of the many things that you could find him doing in his young adult years was working out and dancing to Jamaican music.

Michael loved working out and was physically strong and although he was the second to the youngest of eight children, he would always make his presence known. Later in life he met the late Doris Robinson and together they had two children; Danita and little Michael (Mike- Mike), he loved and was immensely proud of them both. In the 90's he accepted the Lord at Cosmopolitan Baptist Church. In 2004 he met Rhonda Wallace, and for the last twenty years they have spent their love and lives together. 

Micheal was proceeded in death by his mother Mabel Bell, father John Bell (Bebo), sister Gracie brothers Gregory Sheppard and Paul Scott. He leaves to cherish in his memory: two children Danita and Micheal Sheppard-Robinson, Significant other Rhonda Wallace, two sisters Theresa Sullivan, Vanessa Mims, Two brothers Rondald (Short) Sheppard and John (Rome) Sheppard, Sister-in-law Shirletta Sheppard, stepsisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
