Reverend George Martin III better known as “June Bug” was the youngest son born to the late Willie Mae Ross and George Martin Jr II, on Monday March 9, 1964.
George was educated within the Philadelphia School System.
George pursued various employment opportunities after graduating. He found his greatest passion as a contractor.
George was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior, when he was a child. He later found a home here at Vine Memorial Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Pastor Ralph E. Blanks.
He was also very adamant about proclaiming his Faith and Love for Jesus Christ so much that he went on to receive his license to become a reverend.

George and Tara’ met in 2009 and reconnected with one another in 2011, fell in love, and decided to get married. They were so excited that they even snuck and got married on May 29, 2015. Finally ready to reveal their secret, they announced it on the BIG wedding day on August 1, 2015.
George thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with his family, although he was the "biggest cheater”! He had a bunch of beloved activities like watching his Westerns; especially Gunsmoke, WWE, Leave it to Beaver, and his Home Team the Philadelphia Eagles! But what George loved most was watching the stories with Tara’. George also enjoyed cooking and grilling for the family functions, and was nicknamed “The Grill Master”!!!!
George leaves behind to honor his memory: his wife, Tara’ White-Martin; two sons, Joshua V. Martin and Kyree M. White-Martin; five siblings, Georgia Vaughn, Dolores Mayer, Samlie Martin, Gloria Jackson, Ann Martin; one brother-in-law, Maurice Hopkins; two sisters-in-law, Shirae Hopkins, Ebony Hopkins; one Godson, Kash Jordan; his bonus daughter Adrienne Rice(Cam and Dylan); his favorite niece Danaya “oh no” his favorite niece De’Ja; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
