Robyne Chalita Denise Watkins

Robyne Chalita Denise Watkins born Robyne Chaleta Hamiter-Jones on July 22nd, 1956; was born in Cincinnati,  Ohio to Alice and Lamont Jones and soon after adopted by Minnie Bell Hamiter. Minnie ( who would precede Robyne in death) and Robyne started on their lifelong journey where it led them to Philadelphia in 1956 where Robyne attended various schools in the Philadelphia School District;  and she would go on and eventually graduate from Olney High School. 

            Her life was so fulfilling, with so many twists and turns that trying to summarize everything she experienced and embodied may not do her remarkable life enough justice.

            She was a daughter, A mother, A sister, A aunt, and most importantly to her A grandmother. She was a bright shining light of love laughter and humor to all who knew and/or came across her path. She was the kind of person who could make anyone she came across; her friend, sister, brother, daughter, or son in a matter of minutes.

            She was a woman full of dreams and goals…  Some that she reached such as graduating from Philadelphia Technical Institute in December of 2022; with a degree in Sterile Processing Tech. And some she never got a chance to even start…

She was a listening ear to all who reached out to talk and even sometimes gave out sound and sincere advise for almost any problem you need it on.

            One of her greatest achievements in life was rededicating her life to christ… She was proud to be of service to the Lord… She was one of the best Mom Moms this world has ever seen and she will be deeply missed by her Children, Grandchildren, Family and Friends….  Robyne’s charisma, charm, and spirit will be missed but will live on through all whose life she touched.

             Her memories will be cherished by her 2 children; Alan Wayne Watkins Jr. who she affectionately called Butter and Chalita Cerón Watkins who she affectionately called Molly; her Godson Theodore (Pooh) Wraggs; 5 Grandchildren Nylah, Nymir, Dominique (Dom), Nevaeh (Nunu), and Kobe (aka Boot) to her; 6 Sisters Diane, Tracey, Lisa, Delores, Andrea, and Angel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
