Sekou "Poocher" Jamal Johnson

Sekou Jamal Johnson, born June 23, 1992, in Lancaster entered into rest unexpectedly June 22, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne M. Roy and his sister, Tina M. Thomas. He leaves behind his father, Milford Springer; his siblings: James Thomas, Kent Thomas, Sekou Roy, Sr. and Christopher Johnson; his children: Jalen Dupree, Nasir Johnson-Dupree, Jahmere Johnson-Dupree, Nialynn Johnson-Dupree; and his birth mother Cheryl Johnson, all of Lancaster; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sekou loved his family and enjoyed spending time vacationing and swimming with his children and other family members. He was a lover of music and fashion and enjoyed collecting sneakers, hats and jewelry. When spending time with the family Poocher liked to play cards and was often storytelling, or cracking jokes. You could always count on him to give you a hug when he arrived and make you laugh before he left. His current occupation was as a landscaper. He will be missed greatly and remembered often. Rest easy, until we meet again.
